Terms & License

Effective date: [TODO: date]

These terms describe purchases and use of Oribula, offered by Oribula. By buying, installing, or using Oribula, you agree to them. Contact oribula.ai@gmail.com with questions.

What you purchase

Oribula is a Mac app and the personal knowledge system it installs: folders, operating instructions, skills, and workflows. The release and product description identify what is included.

Oribula is offered in one tier at launch: a $49 one-time perpetual license. AI accounts, subscriptions, and connected services are separate.

License

When you buy Oribula, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on the Macs you use, for personal or work purposes. The license is perpetual: you can keep using the version you bought without paying again.

  • One license is for one person. Each person in a team or company needs their own license.
  • You can customize the folders, instructions, skills, and workflows Oribula installs, for your own use.
  • You may not sell, rent, share, sublicense, or redistribute Oribula, its license keys, or its materials, or offer them as part of another product or service.
  • You may not bypass license checks, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

Oribula and its materials, including the app, instructions, skills, workflows, and documentation, belong to Oribula and its licensors; the license doesn’t transfer ownership. Some components are open-source software provided under their own licenses, which apply to those components.

Your files, your knowledge, and the work you create with Oribula are yours. Oribula doesn’t receive them.

Compatibility and third-party services

Oribula requires a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 26 Tahoe or later. It is designed for Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work; ChatGPT Work support is in preview at launch, and setup and available capabilities vary. Review compatibility requirements before purchasing.

AI assistants, connectors, plugins, MCP servers, and cloud storage are supplied by third parties. Their accounts, charges, permissions, availability, and terms apply separately.

Your files and AI-assisted work

Oribula provides instructions and workflows to guide an AI assistant. Review proposed changes and AI-generated information before relying on them, and maintain appropriate backups of your files.

You’re responsible for the material you bring into Oribula: use only content you have the right to use, and follow the terms of the AI services and apps you connect. Oribula’s written rules guide what your assistant does, but they aren’t a technical guarantee that it will follow them, and AI-generated information can be wrong. Oribula isn’t a backup service. Don’t use Oribula to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.

Payment and delivery

Checkout is provided through Lemon Squeezy. The checkout displays the purchase amount and applicable payment information.

Lemon Squeezy is our authorized reseller and the merchant of record for your order: you buy Oribula from Lemon Squeezy, and Oribula licenses it to you. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt and license key by email. Its Buyer Terms cover the purchase; these terms cover your license and your use of Oribula. Prices are in US dollars, and checkout shows any tax before you pay.

After you buy, download Oribula from oribula.com and enter your license key in the app. If you lose your key, contact us from your purchase email and we’ll help you recover it.

Updates and support

Your $49 one-time purchase includes a perpetual license and the first 12 months of updates. After that, updates are optional at $19/year. Keep using your purchased version without renewing. Resume updates for $19 without paying for missed years.

Updates you’re entitled to are delivered through Oribula’s built-in update check. Included updates don’t promise a release schedule, particular features, or support for future versions of macOS or third-party services, and they aren’t lifetime support.

We provide support by email at oribula.ai@gmail.com for installing, setting up, and using Oribula on supported setups. We aim to reply promptly but can’t promise a response time. Support doesn’t cover third-party AI services, connected apps, or accounts, or changes you’ve made to Oribula’s instructions and workflows.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund for any reason within 14 days of purchase. See the Refund Policy.

Additional terms

No warranty. Oribula is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that Oribula will be free of errors or work with every AI service or setup.

Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Oribula isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or business, and our total liability for any claim about Oribula is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Your consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived or limited by contract.

Ending the license. You can stop using Oribula anytime. Your license ends if your purchase is refunded or charged back. If you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing or reselling license keys, we may end your license after telling you why. When the license ends, stop using Oribula and delete it. The sections on ownership, warranty, liability, and governing law continue to apply.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, unless the consumer protection laws where you live give you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. Changes apply from their effective date and don’t take away rights you already have in a version you bought. If a change is significant, we’ll post a notice on the website before it takes effect.

Entire agreement. These terms, the Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Oribula about Oribula.
